Erica Kershner is a Licensed Massage Therapist, DONA International Certified Birth Doula, and Birth Photographer located in Pittsburgh (Squirrel Hill), Pennsylvania. In August 2016 she moved her busy practice from Boston, Massachusetts to PA. She has been assisting women during their perinatal period since 2013. She received her doula training in NYC and while living in Boston she studied with a Licensed Acupuncturist fertility and induction acupressure points. She received her massage therapy education from the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy. She specializes in fertility, prenatal, induction, and postpartum massage. Erica is a strong proponent of the Spinning Babies “exercises”, which help women balance the pelvis and prepare them for the gentlest birth possible. In addition to these specialties, she has a passion for practicing a combination of Neuromuscular Therapy and Myofascial work to relieve both acute and chronic symptoms.
In addition to the DONA workshop, she participated in a HypnoBirthing series and the SidebySide Doulas mentoring program. She also studied photography at Mason Gross School of the Arts. Erica is excited to offer massage therapy, birth doula and professional maternity, birth, and newborn photography services in the greater Pittsburgh area.
